New Sport Court Projects
Sports Partnership with Peel District School Board
Recognizing the need for more outdoor sport amenities, including basketball, I proposed a shared-use sport court partnership with the Peel District School Board (PDSB) at Valley’s Sr. Public School, next to Mississauga Valley Community Centre and Park. PDSB strongly supported the idea, which evolved into a co-funded, co-owned project featuring two basketball courts, floor hockey, and three pickleball courts. The courts are now opened to the public as of this Fall 2026.
Zonta Meadows Park Redevelopment
Located in the heart of City Centre, Zonta Meadows Park serves thousands of downtown residents. The redevelopment includes an all-wheels facility, 1.5 basketball courts (co-designed by me), two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, spray pad, accessible playground, fitness trail, leash-free dog park, community garden, washroom, parking, public art, green space, picnic area, cherry trees and the Helen Horn wildflower garden. The existing 7-v-7 soccer field will remain. Construction began in spring 2025, with substantial completion expected in Fall 2026.

Mississauga Santa Claus Parade Returns in 2026
The 2026 Santa Claus Parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, once again bringing the magic of the holidays to the City Centre area, with the parade expected to take place at night alongside the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Celebration Square. This is what community is all about — bringing families, friends and neighbours together for an evening filled with festive fun, smiles and holiday memories. I’m excited to see this wonderful tradition continue and look forward to welcoming families from across Mississauga downtown for another unforgettable night!
